Hey, everyone. I miss old blog posts.  I used to love going to my favorite artist blogs and see them discussing their new projects and seeing what they’re working on. It felt more focused and intentional than social media and, so by virtue, deeper.  I don’t know how regularly I will keep this up, but hopefully this will be the place I post updates going forward regarding my latest book workings.<\/p>\n

After finishing Adamsville last November I needed a solid break.  Fulfilling a Kickstarter and trying to take it easy for a bit took up a good chunk of time. I slowly started piecing together what would be my next projects in recent months, however.<\/p>\n

Currently I am developing two books for pitching. <\/p>\n

One is a picture book my daughter, Story, and I co-wrote tentatively called Jenny’s No Color World.  <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Story wrote this awesome little picture book awhile back and after reading it I thought it needed to exist in a bigger context.  So I’ve been going through and illustrating it.  Hopefully, in the next few weeks I will begin pitching this to publishers and agents.  It’s my first attempt at the picture book world, so I don’t know what to expect!<\/p>\n

The bigger project I’m tackling is my graphic novel followup to the Adamsville trilogy, tentatively titled A Hunted House. It’s another horror style all ages graphic novel centered around a family that gets sucked into a terrifying fight for their lives against otherworldly beings. I’m going to remain pretty mum on plot details at this time, but I figured I would show off two images for now.<\/p>\n

This is an idea I’ve had in my mind since before Adamsville even went into full production over 7 years ago.  I’m so excited for this one and can’t wait to show you all this story as I continue!<\/p>\n

The goal this summer is to get both titles out the door into the publishing world of agents and editors.  There’s a lot of work left to be done on both, but it’s moving along at a pretty steady pace.<\/p>\n
