Hey All-<\/p>\n

I thought it would be fun to show you my process as I work through a painting step by step.\u00a0 So as I go I will be sure to post each and every step along the way.\u00a0 This idea is one that sort of just sprang to mind last week.\u00a0 I had finished my painting of the boy pirate and was trying to come up with something as fun if not more so than last time.\u00a0 And of course with boys the next level of awesome is to make a painting with dinosaurs.\u00a0 Namely T-Rexs.\u00a0 So this fun idea is keeping with my recent run on\u00a0 imagination themed art.\u00a0 After a ton of study drawings, I arrived at this composition. This is the drawing I will be using as my guide as I go.\u00a0 The next step will be to show you the color studies and other prepainting steps involved.<\/p>\n

I did a quick color study and value study to make sure things are sitting where they should be.\u00a0 From here things are gonna start getting serious!\u00a0 Like Wonder Pets serious….\u00a0 Just saying.<\/p>\n

Now I start to make my way into painting the piece by moving from object to object.\u00a0 I make adjustments as I go to the overall mood and lighting if the piece as I see fit.\u00a0 Here’s the rest of the process as I moved from object to object.<\/p>\n
