\u00a0I have been fairly quiet as of late\u00a0as\u00a0opposed to\u00a0my normal “let me explain everything I am up to” way of doing things.\u00a0 Largely there isn’t much to talk about, yet.\u00a0 But I did want to give the round up of what is coming this year and where things are at\u00a0with\u00a0Adamsville and site news.\u00a0 Let’s break it on down!<\/p>\n

ADAMSVILLE BOOK 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"adamsville-p1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I’m coming very close to knowing what I will be doing with this book.\u00a0 Things have come to abit of a screeching halt news and process wise, because right now it’s just been a time of waiting.\u00a0 I can say that I have not set signed any publishing\u00a0deal for the book series.\u00a0 I don’t want to say any more than that really, but when it’s appropriate I will.\u00a0 I am hoping to know very soon what I should be planning for.\u00a0 It has mostly been a very encouraging experience that has just strengthened my belief that this book will hopefully be enjoyed by many people.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

ADAMSVILLE BOOK 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"adamsville<\/p>\n

On the second book front I have geared up to begin writing in earnest the sequel to the book, which is at this time, the middle book in a trilogy.\u00a0 Initially I was really trying to put this off until I knew what would happen with a publisher, because I knew that could effect a number of things, but in the end I decided it best to just get cracking.\u00a0 The story has been a bear to get figured out, mostly because it feels a little bloated.\u00a0 I’ll reveal one plot point that I can super excited to play with narratively: there will be a school dance.\u00a0 Maybe typical I guess, but I hope I go pretty atypical in execution.<\/p>\n

I have given myself a month to write my first draft of the book and\u00a0another to get it all honed down to a final draft.\u00a0 I am hoping I will be thumbnailing pages by early June.<\/p>\n

THE DRAGON BOOK AND OTHER STORIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\"dragonbook\"<\/p>\n

This is a project I am really excited about.\u00a0 The book is done and I am working through a number of things, but basically this is a book my 4 year old daughter and I made together.\u00a0 It’s a compilation of these little short stories she put together and I drew.\u00a0 It was so much fun to make and we have some really cool and fun plans for the book.\u00a0 I suspect a lot more will coming out about this in a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

A HOME FOR BENJAMIN FRANKLIN<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"ben\"<\/p>\n

A number of years back my wife wrote a book about our cat Benjamin Franklin.\u00a0 We got him when he was still a young kitten and had to go through all of the fun of dealing with a cat you had to teach how to behave in a home.\u00a0 So she wrote this great little kids book about parenting and all of that love stuff!\u00a0 I have been busily painting the pages of this book and I hope to be done in the next month.\u00a0 We’ve been talking here and there about what our plans for it will be, but we’re exploring all of the options still.<\/p>\n

KEVIN AND THE LIGHT OF DESTINY & OTHER THINGS<\/strong><\/p>\n

I made a brief announcement<\/a> that I would be working towards finishing Kevin and the Light of Destiny this year, and I went ahead and wrote a full draft of the book.\u00a0 The draft I thought was enjoyable enough, but was honestly a mess of things.\u00a0 I still don’t know what is going to happen with this book, but I am working through rewriting it from scratch and will make more formal decisions once I have a draft I am\u00a0 really happy with.<\/p>\n

Other than that I am taking commission<\/a> and working on things as I can.\u00a0 In general I like to only have one project plate I’m spinning at a time, but at the moment it’s many.\u00a0 I thnk I’m doing OK!<\/p>\n
