So now that the principle work on the book is done, I have spent the week doing edits of the material and getting it as closed to publishable as possible.\u00a0 I stayed up later than I probably should have and worked on finishing up the first round of edits\u00a0 so\u00a0I had a readable version by the weekend.\u00a0 Just to give you all an idea of what these edits are looking like, here you go…<\/p>\n

Here’s the original art from one of the pages and a drawing of Chloe.\u00a0 In particular throughout the course of the book, her appearance got more feminine which is good, but this created some pretty big design differences.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So I went back in and made it look more like this:<\/p>\n

This is much closer to the feel of the rest of the book and gives her a softer look.\u00a0 She’s supposed to be a tom-boy like character but I needed to make her softer in appearance.\u00a0 It sort of happened on accident.\u00a0 I never recall making the change consciously, but I like it! LOL.<\/p>\n

I also did a number of changes\u00a0to the\u00a0dialogue, fixing typos and bad storytelling as well.\u00a0 And that round of edits is all done.\u00a0 It’s time to relax and enjoy the accomplishment of finishing what I set out to do.\u00a0 There are already a few things that need fixing, but they’re minor and can wait.\u00a0 I have a few people reading it to add feedback and thoughts to the whole discussion as well.\u00a0 In the next few weeks I will begin the hunt for an agent.\u00a0 Things are about to get fun!
